With my husband, who was my partner in our photography business, we did advertising, portraiture, social events, and weddings. From our darkroom in a one hundred year old building, we created archival photographs in black and white and color. When digital technology began, we then offered our clients digital restoration of damaged photographs, legacy collages and paintings from photographs printed in our giclee studio.
I grew up in a river valley surrounded by nature. Being an only child, the river was sort of a sibling to me—always there, and having many moods, but having a predictable side. Everything I take pictures of is nature-centric; from the light coming through my windows acting as a temptress for me to try something new to being on location for a client, and using their available light as the main source, it is all sense-based.
“Above all, it is a matter of loving art, not understanding it.”
